LifeWay to close stores due to efforts of conservative Christians
LifeWay Christian Resources announced this week that they were to close all 170 of its brick and mortar Christian Stores.
Reformed and other conservative Christians immediately took to social media to claim responsibility for the closure. For example:
Lifeway is closing because people like myself and many of my friends chose to stop going there because they sold a lot of self help books and bible studies that weren’t truth. Their altars to false Bible teachers were too much. It’s sad for the people that depended on that job.

Such dedication to the cause of sound theology is to be admired and the hours they spent on the knees rebuking these ungodly LifeWay stores was clearly the sole reason for its demise. For the Christians who frequented that store were clearly undiscerning and therefore would not have been tempted by cheaper online alternatives.
Sadly, the online theologians declined to comment on why they weren’t boycotting Amazon and why their prayers seem to have no effect on the retail giant’s profits.Â
