Shock as Jesus excluded from own birthday celebrations

Church Life

Jesus’ birthday aka Christmas is being celebrated around the world today.  However, it appears that the guest of honour has been excluded from most celebrations.

“Sometimes they chat to me in a quick prayer just before they eat,” Jesus commented, “but other than that it’s like I don’t even exist.  No-one buys me any presents or even remembers it’s my birthday.  I’m like ‘hello!’ but it makes no difference.”

Our reporter was too busy eating mince pies to investigate this thoroughly.  However, he did promise us he’d look into it after his Christmas celebration with his family was over.

We carried out a quick survey on the street to ask how they celebrated Jesus’ birthday.

There were those who took a break from their Christmas shopping to point out how deluded we were to celebrate anything to do with a guy who died 2,000 years ago.

But the vast majority of people were kind enough to respond to our question and then ask us when Jesus’ birthday was.
