Black Friday: Nation mourns its greed

News

Thanksgiving had a huge effect on Americans this year.

After counting their blessings and being grateful for the important things in life, like family, friends and a God who loves them, many families realised how they had been pursuing the wrong things in life.

Early this morning, long lines of people began to form outside churches as people came to “get right with God” and confess their greed.

As the doors of the sanctuaries were opened people rushed in to get to the altar rail.

In their eagerness carnage ensued with several people trampled in the rush to confess their manifold sins.

Fortunately, nothing but hearts were broken today as tears flowed freely and burdens were lifted.

Some people are calling it Black Friday as they realise just how black their hearts had become from pursuing the American dream of a bigger house, a bigger car, and a job which pays more money.

America is looking forward to a simpler Christmas this year, as gifts for themselves are replaced by gifts for the homeless and inviting the lonely into their homes to share the festivities.

Then my alarm clock started ringing and I awoke to discover it was all a dream.
