Man Makes Same Lent Dad Joke for 46 47th Year In a Row

(Phoenix, AZ)  Local man Jeffrey A. Dover made the same Lent Joke he’s been making since he was 12 years old.

“This year, I gave up Lent for Lent,” said Jeffrey (well only his mum calls him that, everyone else calls him Jeff as that sounds way cooler). 

Jeff (you see how much better that sounds?) then went on to explain why this joke is so funny.

“You see, I’m a Baptist and we don’t observe Lent.  So the joke is that I gave up Lent…for Lent.  Get it?  GET IT?  It’s really hilarious when you think about it.”

Jeff was then asked which Baptist church in Phoenix he attends.  “Well, OK, I don’t attend a Baptist church right now.  For the past 20 21 years, I’ve been temporarily attending a non-denominational church in North Phoenix, but I’m still a Baptist through and through.”

His friend and Pastor, Bob, pointed out that 20 21years is not usually considered “temporary,” to which Jeffrey responded…
